Honey Quality

Eisele’s is a premium monofloral honey from clover, alfalfa, star thistle/knapweed, etc. Every harvest has a unique profile: flavor, texture, aroma, color. Our honey is single sourced — we don’t mix honey from dozens of different producers.

We pay our partners a fair price for the best grades of honey. The color grades we use for raw honey are water white and extra white; it’s usually less than 1-3% of the crop. Our pure honey is extra light amber (ELA).

We pack all our products. We do not use a co-packer or contract manufacturers. This assures great quality control.

Retail sizes are packed in glass, which is best for product integrity, nutrient retention, taste, and aroma. Glass is eco-friendly, easy to recycle, and there’s no leaching from plastic containers.

Honey Labeling

Our honey is not deceptively labeled as “organic”. Organic honey is imported. Some of it comes from countries with questionable environments and standards.

Our honey is not deceptively labeled “local”. Many producers label their honey as “local” based upon where it is extracted and/or packed. In many cases that honey has been gathered from hundreds or thousands of miles away.
